猫尾巴上的毛粘像发蜡可能是猫得了种马尾病，种马尾病又名猫尾部油脂蓄积症，是一种皮脂溢疾病。得了这种病的猫咪，尾巴看上去油油的，粘粘的。猫咪的尾巴会产生发蜡一样的分泌物，尾部的毛发会粘成一团，可能还会伴随脱毛等现象。这种病多发生在未没有绝育的公猫身上，母猫和绝育了的公猫也有患病的可能性。
